Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Varied (Per diem scheduling), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
Monitor and document patient condition and report changes to nursing staff
Assist with safe transfers, positioning and mobility needs
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
Follow care plans and contribute to a respectful, patient-centered atmosphere

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
High school diploma or equivalent (see Education section)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass facility background and health screenings
Comfortable assisting with mobility, ADLs, and basic clinical tasks
Reliable, flexible, and a team player who thrives in fast-paced care settings

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families
Hands-on patient care skills: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting
Safe transfer and lift techniques
Basic clinical documentation and charting
Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
Attention to detail and respect for patient dignity and privacy
