Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Nights, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC (per diem; specific days not provided)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Monitor and document resident status and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and device assistance
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Collaborate with nurses and care team to ensure individualized care plans are followed
Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents and their families

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in New Mexico
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to work night shifts and provide reliable per diem coverage
Pass background check, TB test, and meet facility immunization requirements
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing care and resident support best practices
Familiarity with documentation and charting of vital signs and care provided
Infection control and proper use of PPE
Safe transfer and lifting techniques
Teamwork, time management, and situational awareness in a clinical setting
