Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (4x10hr Day shift); Fridays off; every other Tuesday shift at Totem Lake Clinic (Kirkland). No weekends, no call.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare exam rooms to ensure efficient provider workflow
• Obtain vital signs and perform basic screenings such as vision and pulse oximetry
• Chart accurately and promptly using EPIC to support high-quality patient care
• Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and prepare charts for visits
• Handle telephone triage and pharmacy refill requests professionally and timely
• Support the provider by reviewing lab tests, recording histories, and documenting medications/allergies
• Assist with ordering, stocking supplies, and managing authorization forms as needed
• Float between clinic locations (Bothell, Canyon Park, Totem Lake) as required to maintain coverage

Qualifications

• MA-C certification required at time of signature; MA-R or pending license not accepted
• Minimum 6 months of experience as an MA in an adult outpatient clinic
• Current BLS certification required
• Demonstrated EPIC/charting experience required
• Reliable personal transportation required (floating between clinic sites)
• Comfortable supporting a busy provider and handling administrative responsibilities
• CMA or prior rheumatology experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• MA-C (Medical Assistant Certified) required
• BLS certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient EPIC charting and electronic documentation
• Rooming patients and obtaining accurate vital signs
• Scheduling appointments and insurance verification
• Telephone triage and handling pharmacy refill requests
• Chart preparation and follow-up phone calls
• Reviewing lab results and assisting provider with visit flow
• Ordering and stocking supplies, completing authorization forms
• Strong attention to detail and reliable time management
