Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that support pediatric development and functional independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, SLP, nursing and physicians to coordinate holistic care
• Deliver family-centered education and training to caregivers to support carryover and long-term success
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely in the medical record
• Participate in rapid response and crisis interventions as needed to support patient safety and unit needs

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapy license (required)
• Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) credential or equivalent
• Pediatric experience required; comfort working across the pediatric age span
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings (approximately 50/50 split)
• Ability to work variable schedules including weekends and rapid-response assignments
• Strong clinical reasoning, interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Entry-level master's or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy preferred; equivalent qualifications considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in pediatric evaluation and therapeutic interventions
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment, splinting and developmental milestones
• Excellent documentation and time-management skills
• Comfortable working in both inpatient acute care and outpatient clinic settings
• Effective family education and caregiver training techniques
• Ability to respond to crisis situations with calm and clinical competence
