Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Cost Accounting system used for service line profitability analysis, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights
• Oversee the Decision Support system to support major strategic and financial planning projects and publish monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and scorecards
• Develop financial feasibility, cost, and reimbursement templates in STRATA to evaluate capital projects using ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analyses
• Lead routine review meetings with leadership to analyze service line profitability and help design performance improvement plans for underperforming areas
• Review and validate feasibility studies prepared in STRATA and assist with implementation and ongoing maintenance of the STRATA rolling forecast module
• Prepare and compile data and reports for audits, GME reporting, insurance renewals, FEMA/single audits, and external rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
• Train and mentor managers, directors, and decision support staff to interpret productivity and financial reports and to request/produce ad hoc reporting
• Provide oversight and subject matter support for software implementations, including components of ERP and leasing software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and/or decision support (required)
• Experience with STRATA financial software or a similar decision-support/financial modeling tool (required)
• Healthcare experience, preferably in hospital finance or contracting (required)
• Preferred: Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Health Administration (MHA)
• Preferred credentials: financial and/or healthcare certifications
• Experience with physician reimbursement, bundled payments, and hospital contracting (preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, train managers, and lead cross-functional reporting initiatives

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of cost accounting, P&L reporting, and service line profitability analysis
• Strong financial modeling skills, including ROI, NPV, IRR and feasibility analysis
• Proficiency with STRATA financial software and familiarity with rolling forecast modules
• Experience preparing reports for rating agencies and external audits (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
• Comfortable supporting ERP implementations and leasing software components
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial results to leadership and training managers
