Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluations and create individualized treatment plans to maximize patient function
• Design and deliver therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, range of motion, and fine-motor skills
• Provide adaptive equipment training and teach patients strategies for independent daily living
• Conduct home assessments and design home programs to support safe community reintegration
• Deliver sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation treatments when indicated
• Document timely and accurate patient records in accordance with departmental standards
• Collaborate with schools, nursing homes, visiting nurse associations, and hospitals as a clinical consultant
• Educate patients and families on energy conservation, joint protection, transfer techniques, and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current valid Washington state Occupational Therapist license required (or actively in process)
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to complete mandatory education on schedule

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and evaluation with strong clinical reasoning
• Treatment planning and documentation with attention to detail
• Therapeutic exercise prescription and adaptive equipment training
• Home program design and conducting home assessments
• Experience with neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac, and balance conditions
• Splinting, sensorimotor integration, and visual perceptual-motor remediation
• Strong communication skills for patient and family education
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and electronic documentation systems
