Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific, direct patient care using the Nursing Process to guide clinical decisions
• Assess patients, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes within ED standards
• Assume leadership responsibilities on shift, including safe delegation to other team members
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate efficient, patient-centered care
• Maintain certification currency and complete required training prior to assignment start

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• ACLS and BLS required; PALS or ENPC required (must be active prior to contract start or a course must be booked by clinical orientation)
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing or comparable acute care setting
• Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills in a clinical environment
• Ability to follow Department of Nursing Standards and specialty-specific standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Nursing Process and clinical assessment skills
• Direct patient care across age-specific populations
• Emergency Department nursing practices and triage
• Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations and compliance
• Ability to apply Department of Nursing and specialty-specific standards
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
