Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity peri-procedural care for diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath patients, including TAVR and Mitraclip cases
• Scrub, assist, and circulate in cardiac catheterization procedures when needed (scrub experience highly preferred)
• Monitor hemodynamics and advanced support devices (Impella, balloon pump) and respond to changes promptly
• Perform pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure recovery and education to optimize patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with CV techs, rad techs, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team during STEMI and emergency activations
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner and Merge Hemodynamics for Cath Lab workflows
• Maintain radiation safety practices and use assigned radiation badge provided by the agency
• Participate in call rotation and provide excellent bedside care during nights and weekends as scheduled

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to submit (license to submit: yes)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (Cardiac/Cath Lab experience preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS
• Scrub experience highly preferred; candidates should be prepared to discuss recent scrub cases and durations
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Merge Hemodynamics preferred
• Comfort working with high-acuity cardiac devices and procedures (TAVR, Impella, IVUS, Rotablator, etc.)
• Willingness to participate in call rotation (one night/week) and weekend coverage

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional cardiology workflows
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting invasive cardiac data
• Aseptic technique and procedural scrub competency
• Experience with high-acuity device management (Impella, balloon pump, TAVR support)
• Solid clinical judgment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making in emergent situations
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Accurate, timely documentation in Cerner and familiarity with Merge Hemodynamics
