Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Accurately document resident status, observations, and care given
Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Collaborate with nurses and therapists to help implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
Compassionate attitude and strong communication skills
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience a plus but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living) and resident-centered care
Basic charting and documentation skills
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly with residents and staff
Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
