Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility with dignity and compassion
• Provide safe, attentive bedside care including assistance with transfers and positioning
• Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting concerns to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
• Support residents during meals and help with feeding as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in team huddles and care planning to improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or successful completion of a state-approved CNA program
• Active listing on the Pennsylvania CNA registry or ability to obtain state registration
• Basic patient care experience preferred but new graduates welcome to apply
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care best practices
• Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and safe transfer techniques
• Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Clear verbal and written communication for handoffs and charting
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Teamwork mindset and willingness to support colleagues
