Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient chart
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — must be valid in Pennsylvania
• Active state registry listing as applicable
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a compassionate attitude
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting patients
• Per diem availability with flexibility for evenings and occasional weekends

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and ADLs
• Able to take and document vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Comfortable with electronic charting and documenting care notes
• Good observation skills and the ability to escalate clinical concerns
• Strong interpersonal skills and patience when working with elders or medically fragile patients
