Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures using independent judgment and technical skill
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR and PACS systems to ensure high-quality imaging and timely access
• Demonstrate proper use of HIS and RIS systems for accurate imaging workflow and documentation
• Provide excellent patient care, maintain confidentiality, and practice infection control per OSHA and facility policies
• Maintain department competencies and attend required annual education (blood borne pathogens, infection control, etc.)
• Assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for assigned areas as directed by Lead Technologist or Operations Manager
• Communicate clearly with the care team to facilitate accurate diagnoses and smooth patient flow
• Document work history, skills checklist, and required credentials thoroughly at profile upload

Qualifications

• Active ARRT (R) certification — required
• Active American Heart Association BLS — required
• Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License in hand or proof of application — required (client will not pend license)
• Minimum 2 years radiology experience with 1 year of current experience
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working evenings and weekends; must work posted schedule (no schedule accommodations/block scheduling)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility — Berkshire Health System will not consider travelers within 50 miles
• Provide work history, skills checklist (current to 1 year), and 1 supervisory signed reference from within the past two years

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with X-Ray (Radiography), CR and DR imaging
• PACS proficiency and image management skills
• Familiarity with HIS and RIS workflows; Meditech Expanse is a plus
• Excellent patient care, infection control, and body substance isolation practices
• Competence in troubleshooting imaging equipment and software
• Experience with mammography and adherence to continuing education for radiology and mammography
• Ability to supervise, instruct, and collaborate with department staff
