Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams — both contrast and non-contrast — with precision and patient-centered care
- Operate and optimize GE MRI equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Document procedures, findings, and patient information accurately in Cerner EMR
- Prepare patients for imaging: explain procedures, ensure safety screening, and position them correctly
- Collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team to support timely, accurate diagnoses
- Maintain equipment and follow unit guidelines and infection control policies
- Provide compassionate care while managing throughput during busy day shifts and rotating weekends
Qualifications
- MRI registered (required)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
- Required MRI certification
- Breast MRI experience (preferred)
- Experience with GE MRI systems and Cerner EMR highly desirable
- Willingness to work rotating weekends as scheduled
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in MRI contrast and non-contrast procedures
- Hands-on experience with GE MRI equipment
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system
- Strong patient positioning and safety protocol knowledge
- Clear communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced imaging unit
