Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs and record patient history, medications, and allergies accurately
- Prepare exam rooms, organize charts, and document visits in EPIC with attention to detail
- Set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays and assist clinicians with biopsies, ED&C, and sutures
- Perform specimen collection and labeling to ensure proper processing
- Carry out dressing changes and wound care with safe technique
- Manage office duties including scheduling, authorization forms, and pharmacy refill requests
- Provide telephone triage and timely follow-up phone calls to support patient care
- Maintain supply levels and help with ordering/stocking to keep the clinic running smoothly
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) required — MA-R and MA-P are not accepted
- EPIC charting experience required
- At least 6 months of adult outpatient clinic experience preferred (dermatology experience a plus)
- Hands-on experience with suture removal, punch/shave biopsy, ED&C preferred
- BLS and CMA certifications preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to float to sister clinics when requested
- Willingness to relocate permanently if a non-local candidate is offered a permanent position at contract end (if applicable)
Education
- MA-C certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional medical assisting training preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Aseptic technique and sterile field setup
- Procedure assistance for biopsies, ED&C, and sutures
- Specimen collection and accurate labeling
- Vital signs, rooming patients, and chart preparation
- Telephone triage, pharmacy refill requests, and authorization form handling
- Scheduling appointments and general front-office coordination
- Comfortable working in a fast outpatient dermatology clinic and using EPIC daily
