Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to program participants, promoting dignity and independence
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming) with respect and patience
- Monitor and record vital signs and routine observations accurately
- Support mobility and safe transfers while following established safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members and document care in required checklists
- Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists to maintain quality care
- Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies to protect participants and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Ability to pass Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- License/certificate verification on file as required by site
- Up-to-date health screening and immunizations (2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Clear 10-panel drug screen and required health documentation
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and assisting with ADLs
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work with interdisciplinary staff
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident rights
