Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert pediatric neurology care for inpatient consults and ambulatory outpatients
• Interpret EEGs and sleep studies to guide diagnosis and management
• Teach, mentor, and evaluate pediatric residents and medical students in a growing residency program
• Participate in program development to help build a comprehensive pediatric subspecialty service
• Collaborate with a broad primary care referral network across a 20+ county region
• Engage in scholarly activity and research with allocated time for academic pursuits
• Assume leadership opportunities when appropriate to advance the department and regional care

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Neurology (required)
• Fellowship-trained in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology (preferred)
• Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain) in Michigan
• Demonstrated clinical excellence and strong interest in medical education
• Experience with EEG and sleep study interpretation preferred
• Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates; locum tenens candidates not being considered

Education

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of pediatric neurology training and appropriate fellowship

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in pediatric neurology and neurodevelopmental disorders
• Proficiency in EEG interpretation and pediatric sleep study analysis
• Strong teaching and mentorship skills for trainees at multiple levels
• Ability to manage inpatient consult services and outpatient clinics
• Program development, leadership, and collaboration across specialties
• Comfort with scholarly work and supervising resident-led projects
