Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures by preparing and passing instruments
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical equipment
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to promote efficient patient care
- Monitor and restock supplies in the operating room
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year CVOR experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in aseptic technique and sterile field management
- Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
