Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of the SEARHC Infection Prevention & Control Program to meet regulatory and evidence-based standards
- Collect, analyze, trend, and report healthcare-associated infection (HAI) data, including timely NHSN and regulatory reporting
- Develop, update, and implement infection prevention policies and procedures aligned with CDC, CMS, OSHA, FDA, TJC, and APIC guidance
- Design and deliver infection prevention education and training for staff, patients, families, and community audiences
- Chair the IPC committee and provide oversight of the Employee Health program
- Serve as a liaison with public health and regional/state/national partners to ensure up-to-date IPC guidance is communicated
- Provide subject-matter expertise to medical, administrative, and executive leaders to integrate infection control into strategic and clinical initiatives
- Perform supervisory duties and support performance improvement and project management initiatives
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska or another U.S. state required (direct hire must have applied for Alaska license before start; agency staff must have active Alaska license)
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (nursing, public health, epidemiology, microbiology, or similar) required
- Master's degree (MPH, MSN) preferred
- Certification in Infection Control and Prevention (CIC) required
- BLS current within 3 months of hire and maintained biannually
- Minimum 3 years of acute care and/or infection control experience and/or data collection and performance improvement/risk management experience
- Clinical Competency and Manager Competency to be completed within 3 months of hire and periodically thereafter
Education
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, microbiology, or related healthcare field (required)
- Master's degree (MPH, MSN) preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of epidemiology and infectious disease principles
- Experience with HAI surveillance, NHSN reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Proficiency in data collection, basic statistics, data analysis, and MS Office/database applications
- Strong skills in policy development, staff education, and performance improvement methodology
- Ability to synthesize regulatory requirements and translate them into practice and training
- Excellent communication skills for diverse, multicultural audiences
- Project management and supervisory experience
