Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Compound and dispense exact medications as prescribed with meticulous attention to detail
Review prescriptions for accuracy, drug interactions, and appropriate dosages before release
Provide empathetic patient counseling on medication side effects, storage, and usage
Ensure full compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and safety standards
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and therapy plans

Qualifications

Active California Pharmacist License required
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited institution
Current BLS Certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work positively with patients and staff
Ability to manage time efficiently and maintain organized records

Education

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in medication dispensing and compounding
Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and loss prevention controls
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and pharmacy management systems
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment
