Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and optimize respiratory support for critically ill patients using Servo and 840 ventilators
• Perform nebulizer treatments and airway management to improve patient breathing and comfort
• Obtain arterial blood gases (ABGs) from arterial lines or sticks and interpret results to guide care
• Assist in intubations, codes, and rapid responses as a skilled team member
• Conduct thorough respiratory assessments and develop effective treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate critical care interventions
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR and communicate changes in condition promptly

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant respiratory therapy experience (as listed in job details)
• Demonstrated critical care skills and ventilator management experience
• Comfort with ABG sampling and assisting in intubation/CODEs/rapid responses
• Strong assessment skills and ability to work as a team player in a busy unit
• Familiarity with Meditech or other EMR systems is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting (Servo and 840 experience helpful)
• Nebulizer and aerosol treatments
• Arterial blood gas collection and interpretation
• Airway management and intubation assistance
• Critical care assessment and rapid response participation
• EMR documentation (Meditech familiarity preferred)
