Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to cardiac and medical patients on a busy telemetry unit
Interpret cardiac rhythms and document findings each shift
Monitor patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Collaborate with charge nurses and support staff to deliver excellent outcomes
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support the broader team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Care for CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, and diabetic patients
Post-cath and total joint replacement recovery support
BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatment management
Cerner documentation system
