Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized Visual Monitor Unit
Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to any changes in patient condition
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Maintain a safe environment using video monitoring and behavioral health tech support
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide care
Complete skills validation including Foley insertion and central line dressing changes during orientation

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with a genuine interest in working with patients who have behavioral health needs
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed) and complete SIMs Lab skills validation
Must have reliable transportation and meet appearance standards for fit testing

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Cerner electronic medical record system
Patient safety and video monitoring protocols
Sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line care
De-escalation and behavioral health awareness
Collaboration with security and behavioral health techs
