Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and MedSurg units
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex drips including heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Monitor hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, and educators to support holistic patient recovery
Float within similar levels of care to support unit needs and build versatile skills
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure comfort and safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for PCU and oncology patients
Comfort with ventilators, CVP, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000 monitoring
Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
Ability to titrate drips such as cardizem and insulin
Team-oriented mindset with genuine compassion for diverse patient populations
