Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for surgical patients
Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions from OR to recovery
Respond to on-call needs within a 1-hour response time to support patient care
Float to support other areas as needed while maintaining high standards of care
Read and interpret cardiac strips to ensure patient safety during recovery

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ED or ICU experience preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Ability to work variable shifts and participate in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Experience with vents, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
Ability to manage ICU patients recovering in PACU
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable working with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
