Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling with every other weekend, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday required, standby call required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Attend deliveries as the baby nurse providing expert newborn care
Start and maintain IVs while monitoring patient progress
Transfer patients to higher levels of care when needed
Provide phototherapy, respiratory support, and monitoring for newborns with conditions like hypoglycemia and sepsis
Flex between SCN and postpartum assignments to support the entire LDRP unit
Assist with umbilical line placement and maintenance
Administer and titrate drips including D5W and TPN
Support families through the critical early days of newborn care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington
NRP and BLS certifications required
Experience attending deliveries as the baby nurse
Skilled in IV start and maintenance
Comfortable with Bubble CPAP, HiFlow, and umbilical line placement assist
Ability to flex between SCN and postpartum assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Level 2 NICU experience preferred
Postpartum couplet care experience
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced LDRP environment
Excellent communication with families and the care team
