Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care following established clinical standards and protocols
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document clinical findings accurately
• Assist providers during exams and procedures in the pulmonary clinic
• Deliver patient and caregiver education to promote understanding and self-care
• Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations and participate in emergency response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support coding practices (ICD-10, CPT basics)

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) current and maintained
• Ability to administer medications and use clinical examination/treatment equipment
• Comfort with clinic pace: ability to lift/assist up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow physician orders and clinic procedures
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Willingness to travel to other offices and work irregular hours when necessary

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and nursing care fundamentals
• Medication administration and monitoring for effects
• Clinical documentation best practices and medical terminology
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
• Office procedures and workflow in a busy outpatient clinic
• Emergency response and basic life support skills
• Patient education techniques and care coordination
