Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to progressive care unit patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and patient vital signs, responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care plans
• Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery and discharge goals
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress thoroughly and timely
• Respond effectively to emergencies and assist with rapid interventions as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or progressive care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, telemetry interpretation, and IV medication skills
• Ability to pass standard background check, drug screen, and credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Solid clinical judgment and critical thinking under pressure
• Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
