Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Start Date: 07-13-2026
End Date: 10-12-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Primarily 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with variable start times available (7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM). On-call shifts required approximately 1 night every 6 weeks.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
- Manage Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery, monitoring vital signs and pain levels
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Respond to call lights and assist with lunch relief as needed
- Care for a diverse case mix including ortho, trauma, cardiac, and urology patients
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience preferred
- EPIC proficiency is a plus
- Ability to float to other units as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced cardiac life support and pediatric life support
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Epic
- Comfortable reading telemetry strips
- Team player with excellent communication skills
