Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for surgical patients
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Respond to ICU patients recovering in the PACU setting
- Read and interpret cardiac strips to maintain patient safety
- Support the care team during lunch relief and assist with unit needs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- PACU nursing expertise
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable floating between PACU and surgery center
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
