Registered Nurse - NICU (Level 4)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 08-31-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend, 3 of 6 major holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
- Master Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with precision and sterile technique
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, midlevels, and respiratory therapists
- Float to mother-baby and labor care to care for newborns as needed
- Serve as a charge nurse or high-risk RN resource when assigned
- Use Cerner EMR to document and coordinate patient care seamlessly
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required (will also consider busy Level 3)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- BLS, NRP, and Cardiac STABLE certifications required
- Comfort and competence with sterile field maintenance during procedures
- Ability to pass SIMs lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on day 1
Knowledge & Skills
- NICU nursing expertise including care for premature infants, cardiac defects, and surgical neonates
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
- Experience with Phillips telemetry systems
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
