Registered Nurse - Neuro Acute
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries
- Monitor neurological status and detect subtle changes in patient condition
- Perform comprehensive neuro assessments including cranial nerve evaluation
- Manage patients requiring Trend EEG monitoring and post-operative care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including hospitalists and respiratory therapists
- Float to Med-Surg/Tele units and sister campuses as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license with minimum 2 years experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN preferred, Certified Med Surg/Tele preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Neuro assessment and cranial nerve evaluation
- Epilepsy monitoring and Trend EEG interpretation
- Med-Surg and Telemetry monitoring
- Bipap management and ventilator support
- Sterile field maintenance and central line care
- Patient education and family communication
