Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care across multiple specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities in Ulysses, Dodge City, and Garden City as needed
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios
Respond to low-census call situations and adapt quickly to changing unit assignments

Qualifications

Active RN license and 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Neuro experience preferred along with familiarity using Alaris pumps and EPIC charting
Willingness to float throughout the 60-mile zone and maintain flexibility with scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment skills for cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, and post-surgical patients
Ability to read telemetry strips and manage stable long-term placement patients
Comfort working with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and other respiratory equipment
Excellent communication and adaptability for floating between ICU holds, PCU, and MS-Tele units
