Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER settings, adapting quickly to patient needs
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent continuity of care
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently to codes and traumas
Read and document cardiac strips independently using Mindray monitors and complete EKGs
Collaborate directly with hospitalists and work independently with minimal staffing support
Follow EMTALA regulations and coordinate flight transport for higher-level care patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
Comfortable floating between MedSurg and Emergency Department
Experience with titrating drips, IV starts, and code/trauma response

Knowledge & Skills

Meditech EMR documentation
Mindray monitor operation and independent strip interpretation
Hamilton T1 ventilator and BiPAP/high-flow equipment
Swing bed rehab and critical care patient management
EMTELA compliance and flight transport coordination
