Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients
Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and document changes accurately
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care
Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns to providers when necessary
Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — active license required
Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med/Surg) — patient-focused clinical experience
Comfortable with 12-hour shift work and the pace of a Med/Surg unit
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a care team
Willingness to follow facility onboarding and compliance requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
Charting and documentation best practices
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
Teamwork, adaptability, and patient advocacy
