Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a medical-surgical unit
Assess and monitor patient condition, responding quickly to changes
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy safely and accurately
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, professional communication

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or Compact RN licensure accepted where applicable
Previous medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to rotating schedules
Professional, compassionate bedside manner and excellent communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-surgical patient assessment and nursing interventions
IV insertion and medication administration best practices
Wound care and post-operative monitoring
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in fast-paced settings
Patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
