Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert LDRP care to mothers and babies from 33 weeks gestation and beyond
• Independently attend deliveries and circulate during C-sections with confidence
• Assist with catching babies and transitioning newborns to ensure safe, healthy starts
• Titrate critical drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin to support high-risk patients
• Monitor fetal heart patterns using intermediate or advanced skills and respond promptly to changes
• Support patients experiencing preeclampsia, diabetes, and other complex conditions with compassion
• Collaborate with the in-house OB team, anesthesia providers, and NNPs available 24/7
• Float within the Birthing Center to postpartum and mother-baby units while maintaining all core competencies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience preferred; candidates with 1 year and multiple prior travel assignments may be considered
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating in C-sections
• Experience with fetal heart monitoring at intermediate or advanced level preferred
• No first-time travelers accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• LDRP nursing with ability to manage high-risk pregnancies
• Fetal monitoring interpretation and response
• Titration of Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin drips
• C-section circulation and newborn transition support
• Patient education for new parents on routine and high-risk postpartum care
• Adaptability to unit workflows, policies, and constructive feedback
