Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer infusion therapies and chemotherapy safely and accurately using established protocols
• Monitor patient responses and intervene promptly to manage adverse reactions
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families about treatment plans and side effect management
• Collaborate with the oncology team to coordinate care and update treatment documentation in EPIC
• Maintain meticulous medication and infusion records to ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance infusion clinic operations and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current California RN license required
• Chemotherapy certification with recent chemotherapy administration experience required
• Minimum four years of acute nursing experience in an oncology setting
• Recent infusion clinic experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience using EPIC EMR required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy agents, infusion protocols, and safe handling procedures
• Skilled in vascular access and infusion pump management
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record workflows
• Excellent patient education, assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary oncology team
