Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; schedule varies (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with the hiring manager); RN - ICU (may include day, night, or rotating assignments)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to ICU patients with focus and precision
Monitor and interpret advanced patient data, escalate changes promptly, and collaborate with the care team
Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting care in the patient record
Perform thorough assessments and develop responsive nursing plans that improve patient outcomes
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and communicate clear, timely handoffs
Support families with empathy and clear communication during stressful moments

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Kentucky required
Experience working in an ICU or critical care setting (ICU experience preferred)
BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications are a strong plus
Comfortable with advanced monitoring, ventilator care, and critical care interventions
Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and intervention
Ventilator management fundamentals
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Strong clinical documentation skills
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced ICU environment
