Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients with professionalism and focus
• Manage ventilators, advanced life support, and complex monitoring to ensure patient stability
• Perform and care for invasive lines including central lines and arterial lines with accuracy and safety
• Assist with and respond to intubation procedures and post-procedure care
• Care for patients with external ventricular drains and collaborate with core staff on EVD management
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapy, and specialty units such as BMT and PCU
• Document care clearly in Meditech EMR and communicate changes in patient status promptly
• Support unit policies, contribute to a positive team culture, and help maintain an efficient patient ratio

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of practice)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Experience with ventilator management, intubation, central and arterial line care preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Team player attitude, accountable and caring approach to patient care

• ICU nursing and critical care principles
• Meditech EMR documentation and workflows
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Central line and arterial line management
• Intubation assistance and post-intubation care
• EVD care and monitoring
• Experience with oncology and neuro patient populations
• Cross-coverage knowledge for BMT and PCU floors
