Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care across MICU, SICU, TICU and CVICU settings
• Manage advanced respiratory support and assist with ventilator troubleshooting and care
• Titrate critical drips safely and confidently for pressors, sedation, paralytics and more
• Interpret telemetry and monitor patients without a monitor tech on duty
• Deliver complex therapies including CRRT and support patients with IABP/Impella when required
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Float between hospitals within Zone 1, adapting quickly to unit workflows and teams
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support safe patient handoffs and transitions

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license (ability to submit license required); driver's license required for zone floating
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years ICU and EPIC experience preferred for first-time travelers)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification required
• Comfortable titrating critical drips and managing high-acuity patients (CRRT, IABP, Impella familiar)
• Proven skills in ventilator management and telemetry interpretation
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to float across multiple facilities and work night shifts with flexible scheduling

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing and ICU protocols
• EPIC charting and clinical documentation
• Drip titration and hemodynamic management
• Ventilator modes and respiratory support troubleshooting
• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Familiarity with CRRT, IABP/Impella and stepdown/PCU care
• Strong clinical judgement, teamwork and communication skills
