Roles & Responsibilities

• Care for critically ill oncology and BMT patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP therapies, ensuring safe respiratory support for complex patients
• Titrate drips and vasoactive medications precisely and monitor hemodynamic responses
• Perform tracheostomy care, A-line management, IV pump operations and dressing changes
• Initiate and manage CRRT when indicated, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio standard and provide total care including turning and mobilization
• Build strong rapport with physicians, families and teammates to support coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the United States (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Demonstrated experience with ventilator management, drip titration and BiPAP patients
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Preferred: CRRT experience and transplant experience (kidney, pancreas, liver)

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and BiPAP care
• Drip titration and vasoactive medication management
• Tracheostomy care and A-line monitoring
• IV pumps and infusion safety
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience (preferred)
• Meditech electronic medical record competency
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and teamwork skills
• Ability to work compassionately with oncology/BMT patient population
