Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing for oncology and bone marrow transplant patients
• Manage mechanical ventilation and BiPAP settings and perform ventilator troubleshooting
• Titrate vasoactive drips and infusions safely and according to protocol
• Perform tracheostomy care, A-line management, and total care for critically ill patients
• Operate and monitor CRRT and IV pump therapies as needed
• Document patient assessment, interventions, and response in Meditech EMR accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement compassionate care plans

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact RN licensure where applicable
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proven experience with ventilator management and drip titration
• Comfortable with tracheostomy care, A-lines, and IV pump management
• CRRT experience and transplant unit experience (kidney, pancreas, liver) preferred
• Ability to work rotating weekends and adapt to unit staffing needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and decision making
• Ventilator management and mechanical ventilation modes
• Medication/drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Tracheostomy care and airway management
• Familiarity with CRRT and renal replacement therapy
• A-line insertion aftercare and interpretation of invasive monitoring
• Proficient documentation skills in Meditech EMR
• Team-oriented communication and strong rapport with physicians
