Shift Type: Per diem (varies), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NIGHT

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $45 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, reporting changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Document clinical care accurately in the patient record and communicate handoffs clearly
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support quality outcomes
Respond to patient and family needs with professionalism and empathy
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as required during your shift

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (eligible to practice in Maine)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Clinical experience in a direct patient care setting preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on per diem shifts
Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care

Education

Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — as applicable to licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and bedside nursing skills
Safe medication administration and documentation
Basic patient care procedures and infection control practices
Clear, timely charting in electronic medical records
Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
Ability to prioritize and respond quickly during overnight hours
