Location: Merced, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; potential weekend coverage as needed

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess nutritional needs of patients across telemetry, med/surg, general medical, and medical ICU units
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for low to moderate acuity patients
Educate patients and families on dietary modifications for optimal health outcomes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
Document interventions and progress in Cerner EMR system

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian
Acute care hospital experience highly preferred
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to cover weekend shifts as needed

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Knowledge of nutrition therapy for medical/surgical and ICU patients
Understanding of low to moderate acuity patient needs
Excellent patient education and counseling skills
