Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the Radiology program and ensure smooth daily operations
• Track incoming radiology studies to confirm proper submission and reporting
• Provide PACS training and support to clinical staff
• Manage QA/QC activities and ensure regulatory compliance including MQSA
• Maintain and create radiology policies and procedures
• Coordinate radiology equipment maintenance, inspections, and quotes
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program for staff exposed to radiation
• Work with Finance on the radiology chargemaster and opportunities to improve revenue capture
• Supervise radiology staff, conduct timely evaluations, and ensure competencies
• Perform radiologic exams within your scope of competence and assist with transcription or documentation issues
• Prepare required reports and ensure lead apron testing and other safety protocols are up to date

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) — required
• Registered Mammographer — preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist — preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Proven supervisory experience and strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations relevant to radiology services
• Familiarity with MQSA requirements and digitized imaging workflows
• Strong PACS and radiology transcription troubleshooting skills
• Experience with QA/QC programs and equipment testing (including lead apron testing)
• Ability to work in multiple computer systems and maintain organized medical documentation
• Policy and procedure development skills and the ability to write radiology manuals
• Ability to multi-task, lead a team, and train/mentor staff
