Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate outpatient and procedural gastroenterology care across Conyers, Covington, and Oconee offices
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, EGD (upper GI endoscopy), ERCP, EUS, enteroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoid banding, video capsule endoscopy and TIF
• Deliver infusion services and telehealth visits when indicated to expand access and continuity of care
• Participate in a 1:4 hospital call schedule and coordinate inpatient care with hospital teams
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practice providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Contribute to practice growth, quality improvement, and the associate-to-partner pathway
• Maintain thorough documentation and comply with clinical guidelines and practice standards
• Engage with the local community to build relationships and promote digestive health

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with completion of residency and GI fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (will consider previously board certified candidates who need to re-obtain certification on a case-by-case basis)
• Active or eligible medical license in Georgia
• Clinical experience or training in colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS and advanced endoscopy techniques
• Familiarity with infusion procedures and telehealth delivery
• BLS and ACLS (or willingness to obtain) and other relevant credentialing
• Able to participate in a 1:4 hospital call rotation
• New graduates accepted through 2025; note: visa candidates not accepted; locum candidates not accepted

Education

• MD or DO
• Completed residency (Internal Medicine) and fellowship in Gastroenterology

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
• Experience with ERCP, EUS, enteroscopy and advanced polypectomy techniques
• Comfort delivering telehealth visits and managing infusion therapies
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, APPs, nursing and administrative teams
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation best practices
• Commitment to quality, safety and patient-centered care
