Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency department care for a broad range of acute medical conditions
• Lead clinical decision-making in a physician-led emergency team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
• Collaborate closely with APPs and multidisciplinary staff to ensure continuous 24-hour physician coverage
• Document patient encounters and care plans accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety initiatives and departmental performance goals
• Cover assigned 12-hour shifts, including scheduled nights and weekends, with professionalism and empathy

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine OR Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with demonstrated EM experience
• Experience required; not accepting new graduate candidates
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; visa candidates are not accepted
• Comfortable and experienced working 12-hour shifts and night coverage when scheduled
• Experience using Meditech EMR preferred
• Willingness to reside in or near the local area; relocation may be required and can be discussed

Education

• Board certified physician (MD or DO) in Emergency Medicine, or Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with substantial EM experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of emergency department operations, triage and acute care workflows
• Proficiency managing a busy 16-bed ED with approximately 27,000 visits per year
• Comfortable performing common ED procedures and making rapid clinical decisions
• Experience collaborating with APPs to deliver team-based emergency care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation and order entry
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient-centered care
