Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts
• Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery cases, and inpatient surgical care
• Perform focused evaluations, develop clear care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Assist trauma surgeons with resuscitation, procedural support, and operative tasks
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team to coordinate excellent patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and workflows in Epic EMR
• Practice autonomously while prioritizing patient safety and quality metrics
• Support quality improvement, safety initiatives, and performance goals for the service

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of trauma surgery experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship (highly preferred)
• Not accepting fresh graduates — demonstrated acute/trauma experience required
• Visa sponsorship not available (No J-1 or H-1B visas accepted)
• Ability to practice autonomously overnight and manage multiple complex patients
• Comfortable documenting and managing workflows in Epic EMR

Knowledge & Skills

• Trauma care and resuscitation skills for high-acuity patients
• Acute care and emergency general surgery experience
• Inpatient management and trauma admissions expertise
• Operative and procedural support in the trauma setting
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and strong clinical documentation habits
• Diagnostic interpretation and clinical decision-making under pressure
• Team collaboration across disciplines and support of quality improvement efforts
