Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the clinical supervision of a Physical Therapist, using therapeutic procedures and modalities to improve strength, mobility, and function.
Deliver hands-on interventions and assistive-device training to restore range of motion and coordination.
Implement pain management strategies and support patients in achieving functional goals.
Document patient progress, communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist, and follow the prescribed plan of care.
Ensure compliance with the California State Practice Act and facility policies while maintaining patient safety and dignity.

Qualifications

Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and follow established treatment plans.
Comfortable performing therapeutic modalities, manual techniques, and assistive-device training in a clinical setting.

Education

Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of patient care principles and therapeutic procedures.
Skilled in modalities, range-of-motion exercises, mobility training, and pain management techniques.
Familiar with assistive devices and techniques to improve body alignment and functional movement.
Able to document clinical interventions clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
