Physical Therapist - Acute Care
Location: Bryan, Texas
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with weekend requirement (2 full weekends per month with comp days)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute care patients in a Level III trauma center
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a diverse patient population including ortho, neuro, oncology, and critical care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PTAs and rehab aides to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
- Participate in weekend coverage (2 full weekends per month) and holiday rotation
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Texas in good standing
- BLS certification required
- Acute care experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to precept and train new staff as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Meditech EMR system
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills in acute care settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage a high patient volume (1 eval per hour or 10 treatments per 8-hour shift)
